Located in Tomago, our mining, electrical and power distribution operation manufactures a range of equipment for general underground, longwall and open cut coal mining applications. These products include intrinsically safe LV through to 66kV power applications, and incorporate a range of Ampcontrol manufactured components into complete turnkey electrical systems.

We are seeking an outcome-focussed Electrical Design Drafter to contribute to the design and manufacture of a range of products including mining electrical equipment, underground switchgear, fixed/mobile substations and power factor correction units.

You will:

• Interpret supplier provided electrical drawings of products
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics and single line diagrams in line with contract documentation and relevant standards
• Prepare electrical workflow packages to the workshop
• Act as a key link between our engineering and manufacturing teams

You have:

• Advanced ability with electrical CAD software
• Experience in ELECDES electrical CAD software (preferred)
• Experience in electrical design drafting within manufacturing environments
• Experience in production environment
• Proven skills in technical problem solving and liaising with engineering and production teams
