Description

The enclosures provided have been designed to include optional stainless steel flame paths and doors together with IP66 rated dust/water tight seals to minimise corrosion of the flamepath surface. Also provided are removable stainless steel push button inserts which extend life and allow ease of replacement if and when repaired.  All enclosures are designed for the Simtars Arc Fault model.

The equipment is designed for longwall mining systems of the largest capacity to suit the latest AFC and shearer designs, the largest supplied to date being 6.5MVA with a face width of 405 metres.

Longwall systems include the latest PLC Control Systems with graphical displays to allow fully integrated operation with AFC’s, roof supports and shearer control systems.  Our approach provides full automatic operation, enhanced fault finding and diagnostic tools, all available to the mine by fibre optic ethernet.

Extensive on board screen displays and diagnostics ensure minimum down time and the non-flameproof systems follow the identical layout and internal arrangement for consistency.  This allows design data to be directly applied and site personnel benefit from the common approach.
